He obtained his Master of Science degree at the Faculty of Food Science at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, and completed part of his studies at the University of Ghent in Belgium. He completed postgraduate studies in financial management at the Olsztyn School of Information Technology and Management.
In 2009, he obtained a PhD from the Faculty of Food Technology at the University of Agriculture in Krakow on the basis of his doctoral thesis entitled ‘Model of an integrated food quality and safety management system’.
He ran his own consulting and training company specialising in training, implementation and consulting in the field of quality management systems. As part of his business activities, he also served as quality manager, quality director, production director, chief designer of software concepts for the food industry, and ISO 9001 auditor in certification bodies. He was an expert on food safety and quality at the World Bank.
He currently works as an academic teacher.
He is the author of a total of 36 scientific and popular science publications and reports, as well as 7 books on food safety management, food law and auditing. He has implemented over 100 quality management systems in industry.
