Why is there no Cavern Diver degree in the IDF system?
Diving in caverns, i.e. in caves where the diver is doing so-called limited penetration within daylight zone does not differ significantly from Open Water diving and does not require special procedures. Each dive under the ceiling beyond the limit of daylight should be carried out with cave diving principles in terms of e.g. configuration, management the gas supply, which requires a full cave diver training at Cave Diver level.
What degree do I need to have to start cave diving training?
The degree required to enter the Cave Diver course (the first of the cave degrees) is the Master Diver degree and a double tanks course like Twinset Diver or Side Mount Diver.
There was no Master Diver degree in my federation so far. Can I take an IDF Cave Diver course?

For very experienced divers using a twinset or side mount version of the IDF Cave Diver it is possible to take the IDF Twinset Diver or IDF Side Mount Diver. I have a Cavern Diver degree from another agency. Can I take an IDF Full Cave Diver course?
The Cavern Diver is not enough to start the Full Cave Diver training which is a very advanced training for more experienced cave divers.
I have an Intro to Cave from another agency. Can I take an IDF Full Cave Diver course?
The Intro to Cave Degree, as a degree equivalent to the IDF Full Cave Diver, is sufficient to start the IDF Full Cave Diver training.
