Why should you take part in the IDF Divemaster course?

The IDF Divemaster course is the first course on the diving career path. It provides comprehensive training to qualify you as a dive guide, capable of leading groups of certified divers on excursions.

 

  • As an IDF Divemaster, you will be able to guide tourist groups in conditions for which you are qualified – you do not need to obtain any additional guide qualifications to conduct technical and cave dives
  • As an IDF Divemaster, you do not pay any annual fees to remain an active guide

What do you need to get started?

  • Minimum age: 18
  • IDF Master Fundamentals or Master Deep Diver certificate
  • IDF First Aid Response certificate (valid for 2 years)
  • IDF Night Diver certificate
  • IDF Navigation Diver certificate
  • IDF Nitrox Diver certificate
  • IDF Rescue Diver certificate
  • IDF Deep Diver certificate
  • Minimum 100 logged dives after obtaining the Open Water Diver certification,with at least 30 at a depth greater than 30 metres and 30 completed in difficult environmental conditions (e.g. night dives, in currents, in poor visibility, in waters with a temperature below 10°C
  • Health condition allowing participation in the course
