Why take a course?

Cave diving is an extremely fascinating way to spend time underwater, but it presents many challenges for the diver to overcome. From swimming in tourist caves with permanent guidelines to searching for one's own routes, or yet undiscovered caves - at each stage the diver needs reliable knowledge, skills and knowledge of procedures that determine the safety and thus comfort of the entire dive. In the IDF Full Cave Diver course you will take the next step in your development in cave diving. You will learn how to safely plan and perform dives with limited decompression, but without limitations on the distance from the exit. In numerous caves like this there are many extraordinary views to discover.

What will you learn?

In this class, you will primarily focus on the practical aspects of cave diving – you will practice diving at ever greater distances from the exit, and you will master your skills in laying gudelines and using reels and spools to create your own routes in an underground, flooded world.

During the theoretical classes you will learn the history of cave diving and rescue procedures to help your diving partners. You will also conduct a thorough analysis of accidents and discuss methods to avoid them. Under real conditions, you will practice rescue by towing your dive buddy to the cave exit.

What next?

The cave path, which includes even the most advanced forms of diving tourism in confined spaces, ends with the course you have just completed – the IDF Full Cave Diver. Before you decide whether you want to continue at a level that exceeds the generally accepted tourist standards you should gain enough experience while diving in caves under very different conditions. The next and final stage, the IDF Expedition Cave Diver course, is designed for divers who need more, more specialized tools and techniques to reach beyond the limits.
