Why take a course?
By now you have discovered many faces of the diving world and you have already discovered the wonderful diversity that divers can explore. From safari in the tropics, where you could make better use of your time under water thanks to the advantages of nitrox, to night dives in the lake, where you could observe extremely active crayfish, to long dives only with your diving partner, during which you visited all the most beautiful places and easily returned to your starting point using your compass. There is still a lot to discover, however, and some of these opportunities will open up at the IDF Advanced Open Water Diver course. You can dive virtually anywhere there is water - from mountain lakes to seas full of currents. With this training you will be able to experience new types of diving.
What will you learn?
In the IDF Advanced Open Water Diver course you will learn how to plan and perform decompression-free dives up to 30 meters deep. In addition, you will learn the basics of altitude dive planning, which requires special decompression rules. You will also learn the theory of diving from boats and in currents, both marine and river. Your knowledge of the different dive planning methods will increase to enable you to fully benefit from the new powers and increased depth limits.
What do you need to start?
- Minimum age: 15 years
- Sufficient swimming ability
- Health condition to participate in the course
- IDF Night Diver certificate or equivalent
- IDF Nitrox Diver certificate or equivalent
- IDF Navigation Diver certificate or equivalent
What is the course?
What will you be entitled to after the course?
Upon completion of the IDF Advanced Open Water Diver course you will have all the necessary skills and knowledge to plan and perform dives up to 30 meters deep.
IDF Certificate
Upon completion of the training, you will receive an internationally recognised certificate confirming your qualifications. It is a plastic card with a unique number and watermark. In addition, you will have lifelong access to an individual panel on the IDF website, where your certificate will always be available in electronic form - in case you ever forget to take the original with you for diving.
What next?
The IDF Advanced Open Water Diver is one of the most serious steps in your diving career. To get this far you had to master the skills from your previous training, i.e. night diving, diving on oxygen-enriched breathing mixtures and navigation.
The AOWD degree opens up completely new possibilities for you – you can try ice diving in winter or go wreck diving.
