Why take a course?

The IDF Master Diver course is a bridge that combines recreational diving with technical diving, closing one path and at the same time opening the door to another. Divers with an IDF Master Diver degree gain knowledge and skills in planning and performing dives up to 50 meters deep and with limited decompression done on the bottom gas. Such dives allow you to visit places that are beyond the reach of most recreational divers, and thus attractive and almost pristine. If you feel uncomfortable at popular, crowded dive sites where the number of divers competes with the number of fish, you are looking for peace and tranquillity and the limitlessness of the Great Blue, descend safely with your IDF Instructor deeper into the abyss, which is accessible to less than one promille of humanity.

What will you learn?

During the IDF Master Diver course you will learn how to safely plan a 50 metre dive using a variety of methods, from table-based calculations to methods called “deco on the fly” to computer programs. You will also learn how to include a gas supply in the planning process that will enable you and your diving partner to safely ascend to the surface in an emergency. In addition, you will learn to use different methods of search and recovery of even large and heavy lying on the bottom using specialized techniques and tools.
