Why should you take the IDF Advanced Ice Diver course?

During this demanding training course, you will master all the techniques necessary for planning an ice dive, some of which are modified techniques derived from cave diving. You will learn about the typical hazards of ice diving and how to prevent them during the planning process, as well as how to configure your equipment to meet the most important requirements. During training dives, you will practise using specialised tools, such as sand sabres, which will enable you to use a guideline even in difficult terrain. Together with the whole team, you will also master efficient movement along the guideline and learn how to act in emergency situations, including towing an unconscious buddy to the ice hole.
